Hottest Race in Town 5K next weekend

Both runners and walkers will have the opportunity to win cash prizes totaling $1,000 when the Andalusia Ballet stages “The Hottest Race in Town,” next Sat., Aug. 24.

Shan Burkhardt, who chairs the organizing committee, said the overall winner in both the male and female categories will win $250. The second fastest male and female runners will win $75, and the third place finishers will win $50.

Every person who finishes the 5K Run/Walk will have a chance at a $250 drawing.

The run begins and ends at the Church Street Cultural Arts Centre. The course has been certified,

Registration is $30. T-shirts are guaranteed for pre-registration only.
