Andalusia Police continue to seek clues in the disappearance of an Andalusia woman, Vonnie L. Prestwood, 57, who was discovered missing Tuesday, June 3 from her residence.

According to Lt. Jerry Parker of the Andalusia Police Department, investigators continue to follow every lead they receive.

"We're checking out every lead we get, but there have been no viable leads received as of yet," Parker said. "Her (Prestwood) family is very concerned about her, and would like to find her."

An email received at the Star-News from Prestwood's niece, Tricia Light of Montgomery, said she appreciates the work of the Andalusia Police, and the support and concern of the public.

"I just want to keep it fresh in the minds of the community," Light said.

According to Parker, Prestwood is described as 5-foot-2 iches, weighing 104 pounds, with blue eyes and blonde hair. She has a light complexion, and was last seen wearing flowered shorts with a striped shirt.

"Ms. Prestwood is on medication for depression and a chemical imbalance," Parker said. "It does not look like she carried any of it with her, so as far as we know, she hasn't taken any medication since she disappeared."

Parker urges citizens with any information regarding Prest-wood's disappearance to contact the Andalusia Police Department at 222-1155.

"Her family is worried about her and want to find her," he said.
