Tournament postponed

Rain caused the fourth game of the American Legion District Tournament to be halted in the fourth inning with Post 80 winning by a score of 8-3.
The game will be resumed today, weather permitting.
Post 80 fell behind Millbrook 3-0 in the bottom of the first inning.
Jake Anderson started the rally for Millbrook with a walk. Ryan Jenkins followed with a single. Cory Chapman kept the rally going by drawing another walk to load the bases.
Caeser Jones came through big with an RBI-single after Anderson scored on a passed ball.
Michael Person also had an RBI-single in the inning for Millbrook.
Post 80 answered with eight runs in the top of the second to take the lead.
Will Cammack, Scotty McCraney and Michael Dutton drew three consecutive walks to load the bases. They all scored in the inning.
Trevor Mathews belted an RBI-single in the inning and scored. Justin Bracewell and Tyler Wilson also had RBI-singles and scored in the inning.
Neal Patterson reached base on an RBI-single, but was retired at second when Cole Sightler reached on a fielder's choice.
Chaz Maloy came up with a big hit to keep Post 80's offense rolling.
Maloy hit a towering shot to left field just as a gust of wind began to push dark clouds over the diamond. Maloy's ball finally came down, but when it hit the ground it was out of the reach of the Millbrook outfielder for a three-run home run.
In other games, Montgomery defeated Pike County 7-0. Wesley Willis and Justin Thrash scored two runs each. Matt Massey, J.J. McDowell and Sellers Dubber each scored one run. Massey also had three RBIs. Thomas Carroll was the winning pitcher striking out eight.
Hartford topped Pike County in a game on Thursday by a final score of 9-0. Nick Hatcher was the winning pitcher.
Millbrook won the opening game of the tournament knocking off Montgomery by a final score of 7-0.
