Tigers, Lady Panthers win big

Close games were no where to be found last night in Red Level.
All three games played in the gymnasium at Red Level High School were blowouts.
The afternoon game between the Red Level B-team Tigers and the Georgiana B-team Panthers was the closest of the three games with Red Level winning by a margin of 21 points.
The B-team Tigers won by a final score of 55-34.
Dominic Williams was the leading scorer for Red Level with 20 points. Princeton Ryce added 10 points in the victory.
Clay Marshall had 7 points. Troy Calloway scored 6 points. Cody Ingram hit for 5 points.
Casey Hardage, Jonathan Griggs and Chad Jackson also scored for Red Level.
In the girls game, the Lady Panthers went on top 34-6 in the first quarter en route to a 64-14 win.
The 50-point margin of victory was the result of a balanced offense with three players from Georgiana hitting doubles figures in points.
Lakesha Crittenden led the way for the Lady Panthers scoring 16 points to outscore the Lady Tigers by herself.
Tanesha Paige added 14 points and LaTrece Whatley had 12 points.
Jesica Crawford was the leading scorer for Red Level with 6 points. Chequita Calloway, Oleshia Anderson and Dylan Spivey also scored for Red level.
The Red Level varsity boys' team used a fast start of its own to avenge the Lady Tigers' loss.
The Tigers outscored Georgiana 28-5 in the first quarter after scoring the first 22 points of the game.
Georgiana's first points came with 1:12 left to play in the opening period when Tyrell Rudolph hit a three-pointer.
Frank Tolbert paced the Tigers in the early going scoring 13 of his game-high 23 points in the opening frame.
The Tigers extended their lead to 47-13 going into the halftime break.
In the third period, the Tigers scored 20 points to Georgiana's 12 for a 67-25 lead.
Tolbert was the leading scorer with Larry Hudson running the point. Hudson ended the game with 7 points.
Russell Rigdon had a big game on offense with 14 points for the Tigers. Will McInvale added 10 points. Chris Hendrix hit for 9 points.
Eric Longmire and Malcolm Lawson had 6 points each for the Tigers. Jermaine Jackson scored 5 points. Tim Ryce had 3 points. Doug West and Randall Hunt had 1 point each.
Lakendrick Williams had 12 points for Georgiana. Reco Johnson had 11 points.
Red Level returns to the court Friday when they travel to Excel. The B-team game begins at 4:30 p.m.
