Hours after an announcement that GreenSteel Homes, LLC plans to locate its new factory in Andalusia, the Santa Rosa Beach company was receiving inquiries about jobs.

City officials said they don’t expect the company to occupy the spec building in the new industrial park until about March of 2012.

However, a company spokeswoman said GreenSteel will begin accepting resumes starting early 2012.

The company is expected to employ 50 people locally in its first year of operation. Training for employees who join the company will be provided by AIDT.

The company builds architecturally-designed “green” steel homes with a completely wood-free recycled structure.
