Chris and Linda Deal of Columbus, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Amber Denise Deal, to Wesley Carroll Messick, son of Jimmy and Carol Messick of Hope Hull.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of G.W. and Dorothy Burroughs of Hueytown, and Belle Deal and the late Clayton Deal of Columbus, Ga.

The groom is the grandson of Henry &uot;Frank&uot; and Barbara Mainor of Wetumpka, and Joyce Messick and the late Willie Messick of Hope Hull.

The wedding is planned for March 5 at the Morningside Baptist Church in Columbus, Ga.
