Starting a new business and have tax questions?

Mark your calendar and attend the Alabama Department of Revenue’s free new business workshop scheduled Thurs., Nov. 10, 2011, at 3 p.m. and again at 6 p.m. in Andalusia.

The workshop will be held at the Andalusia City Hall auditorium, located at 505 E. Three Notch Street in Andalusia.

The free workshop will cover a variety of state tax information topics, including employer withholding taxes, state and local sales taxes, property taxes, business licensing requirements and recent changes in Alabama’s child labor law.

An overview of Alabama’s business tax electronic filing program will also be presented.
