Mom got great care

As most people know by now, we lost our mother, Ruby O’Neal, in September. She got infections that she was unable to fight, considering her age and health.
We want to thank the Andalusia Regional Hospital’s day and night shifts for the “way above and beyond” the care that my mother received for the five days she was there.
She was not in the I.C.U. unit, but you would not have known it by the care she received.
Next, Dr. Caleb Yongkuma, whom we had never met before, took over her treatment and came by twice a day and did everything possible to save our mother. He talked to the family at length every visit and was the nicest physician we have ever met. He was very knowledgeable with her problem, and he informed us that because of the head start that the infections had that it didn’t look good, but he kept on trying. He never gave up.
We are very fortunate to have both the nurses, staff and Dr. Yongkuma here in Andalusia, and we thank them all.
Finally, Mother spent the last five years of her life at the Andalusia Manor Nursing
Facility. We want to thank all of the staff there for treating Mother as a family member her entire stay. Sal-Lee Sasser and Stallion Sasser, the brother and sister owners of the facility, loved our mother, and she loved them.
So, to all involved in my mother’s life for the last five years, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and all of you make us proud to be from Andalusia.
