The National Collegiate Athletic Association has ended its 13-month investigation into Auburn University’s football program, according to a statement that was released on Wednesday.
“The NCAA enforcement staff is committed to a fair and thorough investigative process. As such, any allegations of major rules violations must meet a burden of proof, which is a higher standard than rampant public speculation online and in the media,” the statment said.
There were 80 interviews conducted into the various allegations into the football program, notably the pay-for-play for former quarterback Cam Newton, among others.
