Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Lamont Hays Sr., of Fort Deposit, announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Katherine Hays, to Tyler Ned Ellis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ned Thomas Ellis Jr. of Hope Hull.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Edna Whigham Johnson of Evergreen and the late Andrew Smith Johnson, and Henry Heartsill of Fort Deposit and the late Willa &#8220Judy” Cates Heartsill.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late John William Casey of Greenville and the late Hazel Stinson Casey of Hope Hull, and Mr. and Mrs. Ned Thomas Ellis Sr. of Fort Deposit.

The wedding is scheduled for 2 p.m. on April 22, 2006 at Pintlala Baptist Church in Pintlala.
