An audit of the county’s finances has turned up no findings, according to Chairman Lynn Sasser.

Sasser said it was a “pleasure” to announce the auditors had finished with the process and that all the county’s accounts “finished with a positive balance.”

He said the county ended the year with more than $1 million in the general fund, which County administrator Brenda Petty said she couldn’t “ever remember (county) doing.”
