The Opp City Board of Education voted to enter into an agreement with Russell Corp., to outfit its athletic teams at Tuesday’s board meeting.

Superintendent Michael Smithart said the proposal was presented to him by athletic director Jack Whigham, and provides discounted rates for the entire athletic department.

The agreement is for three years beginning July 1 of 2011 and expiring June 30, 2014.

Each year, Russell Athletic will provide an annual product credit valued of $5,000, and provide 100 pairs of wrist or bicep bands, 24 skull caps, 12 quarterback towels,12 football all valued at $1,300.
