Cantatas, egg hunts and Christian fellowship are all among the activities planned by area churches this Easter weekend.

At First United Methodist Church of Greenville, a &#8220Raising of the Cross” service is slated for 9:30 a.m., with morning worship to follow at 10:30 a.m. No evening worship services are planned.

At First Baptist Church of Greenville, regular Sunday School and worship service hours will be observed, but a special addition to the service – baby dedications – will be added to the morning worship hour.

On Sunday night, the combined choirs of First Baptist and Antioch East Baptist will present an Easter cantata, &#8220 Amazing Grace,” at 7 p.m. at the Ritz Theatre downtown. Admission is free and everyone is cordially invited.

St. Thomas Episcopal Church will host an Easter Egg Hunt for the children at 9:30 a.m. Easter morning, followed by the Holy Eucharist at 10:30 a.m. No evening services or activities are planned.

Saint Elizabeth Catholic Church will celebrate Mass on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and on Easter Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m.

Southside Baptist Church will follow its normal service schedule during the daytime on Sunday; however, there will be no discipleship training classes on Sunday night. Evening worship service will be held as usual.

First Presbyterian Church will hold its normal 11 a.m. worship service with no evening programs scheduled for Easter Sunday.

First Assembly of God in Greenville will host &#8220an evening of singing and fellowship” Sunday night at 6 p.m. with the public invited to attend the event.
