Lucien W. Hope III of Miami, Fla., and Amanda M. Hope of Birmingham announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Dorothy, to Nathaniel Faulkenberry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Neil Faulkenberry of Greenville.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Dorothy MeGahee of Birmingham and Mr. and Mrs. Lucien W. Hope Jr. of Atlanta.

She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Auburn University.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Marietta Faulkenberry of Mobile, the late Mr. Claude E. Faulkenberry and the late Mr. and Mrs. O.B. Padgett.

He received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and is now working for Hovensa, LLC, in St. Croix, the Virgin Islands.

The wedding is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on May 20, 2006 at the Donnelly House in Birmingham.
