Storm damages 3 structures

Tropical Storm Lee dropped more than six inches of rain on Covington County on Sunday and Monday, EMA officials reported Tuesday.
EMA director Susan Harris said 14 locations reportedly had trees down, including Ala. Hwy. 137, Brooklyn Road, U.S. Hwy. 29, Beulah Church Road, Frank Tisdale Road, Easley Drive, Hugghins Road, Mary Williamson Road, Antioch Road, Bass Bridge Road, Hwy. 55, Plywood Mill Road and County Road 62.
Structural damage was reported at Pinewood Road, Sanford Road and Porter Harris Loop.
With Tropical Storm Lee out of sight, local residents have been greeted with much cooler temperatures.
Today’s high is expected to be near 81 and the low will be around 57.
Thursday’s high is expected to be around 83 and breezy, and the low will be around 56.
