Northeast Crenshaw County plans for 2007 Relay For Life

On Friday, February 2, 2007, the Northeast Crenshaw County Communities will be hosting a camp stew supper at Tommy Petrey’s &uot;Camp&uot; from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at 769 Campground Church Road in order to plan its 2007 Relay For Life.
The communities involved are Patsburg, Petrey, Bradleyton, Helicon, and Campground.
The menu will consist of camp stew, crackers, and tea.
Anyone interested in participating is invited to attend.

On Sunday, January 28, Mr. Benny Taylor of Petrey delivered the sermon during the morning worship service at Petrey UMC while the Rev. Lavon Davis is recovering from surgery.
Benny is a member of the Petrey UMC, and his service to the church is greatly appreciated by all.

On Sunday, January 28, Ms. Martha Lyons of Montgomery was the guest of Mrs. Laura Elliott and family.

Last weekend, Mr. Darren Hinshaw, grandson of Mrs. Valeta Spradley, and his friend Mr. Kevin Meadows, were the weekend guests of Mrs. Valeta Spradley.

On Saturday evening, January 27, Mr. Mike and Mrs. Marilyn Wallace visited Mr. Kline Jeffcoat and his wife Patsy for an evening cookout.

On Thursday evening, January 25, Mr. John and Mrs. Billie Jones and their son Tyler were surprised with a visit from Virginia, Stevie, and Sabrina Owens.

On Sunday, January 28, Mrs. Linda Floyd served as the lay speaker at Campground UMC in the absence of their pastor.
Also, on Sunday, January 28, Mr. Ernie and Mrs. Lisa Fleming were honored with a celebration lunch for their continued work, support, and dedication to the Campgroud UMC.
They were presented a glass platter for their service of over 25 years, and over 90 people attended their celebration.
They will be leaving Campground UMC soon to return to their hometown in Geneva County where they will be deeply missed.

Next Sunday, February 4, 2007, the Campground UMC MYF is sponsoring its &uot;Souperbowl&uot; to raise money for the Spring Fling after church.
