Wingard’s Produce has on display this 80-pound watermelon grown this summer on the Wingards’ farm. Wingard said the family did nothing differently to produce this whopper of a melon. “It’s our second 80-pound watermelon, we’ve grown,” he said. “It just happened.” Collin Wingard said his parents gave him the choice of helping at the store or working on the farm this summer. “I chose the store.” Kendra Bolling/Star-News
