Rain not enough to stop restrictions

Thursday’s rain was a welcome sight to many residents as the county received its first significant rainfall in many weeks.
A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for the western part of the county shortly before 4 p.m. as dark skies gave way to gusty winds and thunderstorms.
Some reports had heavy hail in Red Level and pea size hail in Pt. A, while others reported heavy rain in the Perry Store Community and other parts of the county.
The Star-News’ Facebook friend Karen Ziglar summed it up best when she said, “Thank you, Lord, for this wet stuff!” She said she didn’t even mind the thunder and lightning either.
Today’s weather could be a mirror to Thursday’s as the forecast calls for a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly after 1 p.m.
