A longtime accounting firm in Andalusia has undergone a name change with the upcoming retirement of one of its partners.
White, McClung and Barber, LLC has officially changed its name to Capstone Accounting and Advisors, LLC. Along with the name change, the firm also announced that Greg White, a longstanding partner and cornerstone of the firm, plans to retire in the near future.
“The term ‘capstone’ symbolizes the final achievement of a structure, representing the culmination of hard work, dedication and growth. For our firm, this name reflects the legacy we’ve built over the years — one founded on the strong foundations of several great local accounting firms and a commitment to excellence,” said partner Shon C. McClung.
White will remain with the firm through the 2025 tax season to ensure a seamless handover to the Capstone Accounting and Advisors team and clients. White’s share in the firm was purchased by the remaining partners, which are McClung and Robin Barber.
“This is a change of name only,” Barber said. “Our clients will continue to work with the same dedicated team they have come to know and trust. This transition ensures a smooth progression of leadership within the firm, allowing us to grow and thrive in the years ahead. We are enthusiastic about the future of Capstone Accounting and Advisors and are more committed than ever to provide exceptional service and expertise our clients deserve.”
Capstone Accounting and Advisors will remain at its current location, 218 S. Three Notch. St. in downtown Andalusia. The office can be reached by calling 334-222-2907.
