The Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting nominations for the 2025 Business of Year.

“Each year the Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce recognizes a Chamber business as the ‘Business of the Year.’ The purpose of this award is to recognize those businesses that have demonstrated the principles of community service, volunteerism and the best traditions of good corporate citizenship,”  said AACC Executive Director Mellisa King.

The criteria the AACC Board of Directors considers when choosing businesses to be recognized include achievements in any of the following areas:

• Industry award/leadership recognition.

• Building or product expansion that creates a positive impact on the local business community by generating new jobs, increasing sales, or enhancing the aesthetic value of the property.

• Innovation of leading-edge technology/services/products that enhance and advance business opportunities.

• Dedicated service to the Chamber of Commerce through consistent support of Chamber events and activities.

• Dedicated service to the general community through consistent support of specific or diversified community endeavors that enhance the quality of life in the Covington County area.

To be considered, the businesses must be a current Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce member and been in business for at least three years. Businesses are welcome to nominate themselves.

Select from the following categories to be considered for award selection:

There are four Business of the Year Awards to be presented, including:

• Small Business of the Year: 9 or less employees

• Mid-Sized Business of the Year: 10- 74 employees

• Large Business of the Year: 75 or more employees

• Business of the Year Community Service Award

The deadline for nominations is Monday, Jan. 6.
