Linsey Hicks of Andalusia has been selected by Troy University as a member of “The 87.”

The 87, formerly Who’s Who, recognizes juniors, seniors and graduate students who have excelled in campus leadership and in their academic area. Selections are made based on academic standing, community service, leadership ability and potential for continued success.

“I am so honored to be selected as one of ‘The 87’ of Troy University,” Hicks said. “I’m incredibly grateful to my university for this recognition and all the amazing opportunities they’ve provided along my college journey. I love the Troy community and can’t wait to see what the future holds through the continuous opportunities they share.”

A 2022 Straughn High School alumna, Linsey is the daughter of Neil Hicks and Gina Hicks with an older sister, Tori, who also attends Troy. She will obtain a degree in Psychology in the spring of 2025 and then further her education to become an occupational therapist.

“The supportive community and network I have built in Troy has been invaluable for my personal and professional growth. The experiences and memories I’ve made at Troy will last a lifetime, making it a place I will always cherish,” Hicks added.

This year’s recipients were honored by TROY Chancellor Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr., and First Lady of TROY Janice Hawkins during a reception on Nov. 21 at the Chancellor’s residence on the Troy Campus.
