Driver extracted from vehicle after roll-over crash in River Falls

A vehicle accident involving entrapment occurred Monday morning in River Falls, according to officials.

According to the River Falls Police Department, first responders were called to Alabama Hwy. 55, north of Sellers Road, at approximately 8:10 a.m. where a vehicle had rolled over, trapping the driver.

Multiple individuals stopped and assisted at the scene and the River Falls Fire Department utilized extraction techniques to cut through the vehicle’s roof to free the driver. Once removed from the vehicle, the driver was transported to Andalusia Hospital by Advance EMS for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.

Along with River Falls police and fire, the Covington County Sheriff’s Office and state troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency assisted at the scene.

“We appreciate the prompt response of all agencies and first responders involved in ensuring the driver’s safety and request that you keep her in your prayers,” said River Falls Police Chief Marcus Laster.
