The Andalusia Office Professionals Association (AOPA) is thrilled to announce that this year’s Monster Mash Dash 5K Walk/Run, held last Saturday, October 19, at City Hall, broke all previous records, with an impressive 136 runners and walkers participating.

This marks the highest turnout since the event’s inception, solidifying the Monster Mash Dash as a community favorite and AOPA’s biggest fundraising event of the year.

Originally starting as a small running event, the Monster Mash Dash has grown into a lively celebration with music, games, food trucks, and fun for the whole family. The event’s expansion reflects the strong support from the community and local businesses, whose contributions make it possible for AOPA to continue its mission of giving back. Proceeds from the Monster Mash Dash go directly toward scholarships and meeting local county needs.

“We couldn’t have achieved this milestone without the incredible generosity of local businesses and the dedication of volunteers who helped make the event a success,” said Anna Clark, Vice President and Event Chair. “We truly cannot thank you enough for your continued support.”

The excitement and success of this year’s event have inspired AOPA to consider expanding the Monster Mash Dash even further next year, with plans already in the works to make 2025’s event even bigger and better.

“We look forward to welcoming even more participants next year and continuing to support the important causes that benefit our community,” Clark added.
