Opp (6-1, 4-1 4A Region 2) will travel east and face off with Ashford (3-5, 3-2) in a pivotal region contest for both teams on Friday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m.

This will be the 24th matchup between the teams since they first played in the Peanut Bowl during the 1952 season. The Bobcats lead the all-time series 16-7 over the Yellow Jackets.

Last week, Opp trounced Geneva for a 38-6 homecoming win. Ashford pitched a 41-0 shutout at New Brockton.

The Bobcats earned a 50-48 win against the Yellow Jackets in three overtimes last season.
