Kernice E. Daughtry, 89, a resident of Montgomery, passed away at his home on Friday, Oct. 4, 2024.

Graveside services will be on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2 p.m., at Antioch Cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing. No formal visitation is scheduled; the family will visit with friends at the cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Loretta Merrill Daughtry, his children: Freida Daughtry Gatewood and Melanie Daughtry Newman (Al), and grandchildren: Mary Elizabeth Newman Albritton (Jack) and William Alton Newman IV.

He retired from the National Biscuit Company and a member of Frazer Free Methodist Church. The family takes comfort in knowing that he is healed and with his Lord and Savior.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Frazer Free Methodist Church.
