Mrs. Brenda Faye Thompkins Fuqua, 65, of Andalusia, passed away on Oct. 1, 2024, at a local hospital.

Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Fuqua were on Friday, Oct. 4, 11 a.m., at Foreman Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Day officiating and Foreman Funeral Home Directing. Internment immediately followed in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. A visitation was held at Foreman Funeral Home on Thursday, Oct. 3, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Mrs. Fuqua is survived by her two daughters, Dawn (Daniel) Cate of Andalusia, and Marlee (Bryan) Bass of Andalusia; two stepdaughters, Janet (Tim) Cooper of Andalusia, and Jackie Fuqua of Andalusia; five grandchildren, Kyleigh Curry, Piper Cate, Beckham Bass, Eliza Bass, and August Bass, all of Andalusia; seven step-grandchildren; two sisters, Sheila (Robert) Williams of Andalusia, and Sandra James of Northport, Alabama; and a brother, Wesley (Dianne) Thompkins of Andalusia.

Mrs. Fuqua is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Fuqua, a stepson, Danny Fuqua, her brother, Ronnie Thompkins, and her parents, Johnnie and Ora Thompkins.

Pallbearers were Robert C. Williams, Dr. Loren James, Clint Thompkins, Daniel Cate, Bryan Bass, and Robert D. Williams.

The family has elected to accept flowers.
