Pleasant Home (1-4, 0-3 1A Region 2) will look to snap a three-game losing streak in a home region game against McKenzie (5-1, 2-1) on Friday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m.
This matchup will be the 21st between the two teams dating back to 2004. The Tigers lead the series 13-7 over the Eagles.
“McKenzie is a very talented football team. They are very athletic and play hard for four quarters. We will have to play our best game in order to beat them,” Head Coach Kevin Bond said.
Pleasant Home was off last week but fell short at home against Red Level two weeks ago, 41-7. McKenzie made the trip to J.F. Shields and earned a shutout victory, 50-0.
“We have got to learn how to sustain drives and quit making mental mistakes that put us behind the chains. We had some injuries and players unavailable against Red Level, which really hurt us. I felt like we should have competed much better than we did,” Bond said.
The Tigers posted a 54-7 road win at the Eagles in 2023.
