Andalusia Chamber holds ribbon cutting for Elan Formals and Boutique

The Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Elan Formals and Boutique during its 10th anniversary and a grand opening of its new location on Friday, July 17.
Among those in attendance were Elan Formals Owner Caitlin Portemont, cutting the ribbon; AACC Executive Director Mellisa King, right of ribbon; AACC Director of Membership Services Maggie Holmes, left of ribbon; Chamber President Jennifer McClung; Chamber board members Jason Jessie and Sarah McClung; and Dist. 4 Councilman Presley Boswell.
Cathy Edmondson started Elan Formals in July 2014 before her daughter Caitlin took over in May 2021. The business carries formal wear for all occasions, provides tuxedo rentals, and offers ladies’ apparel, accessories, and shoes six months and up with sizes up to 32.
According to Portemont, the company is the largest formal wear selection in south Alabama and the Florida Panhandle.
Elan Formals is located at 29 South Court Square, Suite A, in downtown Andalusia. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
