The head administrator of the Covington County Jail was terminated from the position last week.

According to Covington County Sheriff Blake Turman, Thomas Hugghins was “terminated for a policy violation and is not eligible for rehire.”

Turman said commenting any further on the matter at this time would not be proper.

Hugghins has served as administrator of the jail for approximately three years.
