The Andalusia Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating two people for whom the department has obtained arrest warrants for rape.
Sgt. Al McGraw said the accused are Angela Marie Paredes of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., and Jaime Villegas Sandoval, whose residence is either in DeFuniak Springs or in Pensacola.
McGraw said the charges are related to an incident in January, when the two are alleged to have transported a woman from a homeless shelter in Florida to Andalusia, where the three ate at Huddle House before checking into a hotel room where the homeless woman was assaulted.
They returned the woman to the shelter the next day, where she reported the assault, and where the investigation began.
Sgt. McGraw asks that anyone with information about the whereabouts of the couple contact the APD at 334-222-1155, or call CrimeStoppers using the 24-hour tip line at 215-STOP (7867).
