The Alabama Community College Conference recently announced its Spring 2024 Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll with 41 LBW Saints represented on the list.

Student-athletes received the honor by earning a 3.0 GPA or higher.

“LBW’s goal has and always will be to provide student-athletes the resources they need to succeed in their respective sport but most importantly in the classroom. To make the Commissioner’s List speaks volumes of the sacrifice each athlete gives to their education and sport, and we are pleased to have as many athletes represented on the list. We look forward to their continued success in the classroom,” LBWCC President Dr. Brock Kelley said.

Baseball was the most-represented sport on the list with 17 Saints honored by the ACCC. Those student-athletes are Ayden Amis, Shelton Arroyo, Hollon Brock, Lane Cook, TJ Dunsford, Carter Fabre, TJ Grines, Pearson Little, Alex McCranie, Benjamin Moseley, Marco Navarro, Cooper Rogers, Joshua Shelly, Logan Sims, Walt Spurlin, Landon Thrash, and Owen Walters.

Softball followed with 10 representatives named to the list. They are Alexandria Carroll, Ashlee Findley, Abby Gard, Abbey Glidewell, Olivia Mikel, Faith Myers, Emma Poore, Kallie Schumacher, Emily Taylor, and McKynlee Young.

The Saints volleyball team had eight representatives selected. Those are Elizabeth Bean, Sal De-Jesus, Ashland Kelley, Samia Mason, Gwen Nguyen, Molly Powell, Briana Smith, and Reece Smith.

LBW had three basketball athletes named to the list, which included two on the women’s team and one on the men’s team. Those selected are Samuel Domond, Ameyah Gray, and Maurissia Walker.

Jackson Bailey and Ayden Braddy were recognized in men’s golf. Claire McReynolds was also honored on the list in women’s cross country.

“These student-athletes and teams should be extremely proud of themselves as they have balanced academics with practice and games. I am very proud of them along with the faculty and staff at our amazing colleges for the work they do in preparing our student-athletes for life outside of athletics,” said ACCC Commissioner Dean Myrick.
