Andalusia Ballet will present “Summer Dances” on Friday, June 28, 7 p.m., at the LBWCC Dixon Center for the Performing Arts.
The program is free to the public and will feature Micah Bullard and Alexandra Hutchinson, company artists with the Dance Theatre of Harlem. Andalusia Ballet’s Summer Intensive students, along with guest artists from around the world, will also be performing.
Hutchinson, a native of Wilmington, Delaware, earned a bachelor’s degree in Ballet from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music. She has trained with the Washington School of Ballet, Wilmington Academy of Dance, and summer intensives with Alvin Ailey, Alonzo King, Carolina Ballet, Ballet Chicago, and Nashville Ballet 2.
Bullard is a native of Houston, Texas and has trained with the Dance Center of Baytown, University of Oklahoma School of Dance, Jacob’s Pillow Contemporary Ballet Program, and others. His professional experience has come with the Oklahoma City Ballet and Dance Theatre of Harlem.
“We invite the community to join us for this wonderful evening of dance,” said Andalusia Ballet Artistic Director Meryane Murphy.
