Mr. James Richard Souve, 85, of Red Level, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at his residence.

No formal services will be scheduled; the family will hold a private service.

Mr. Souve was born in Portland, Maine, on Dec. 12, 1938, to Earnest Souve and Ada Mae Miller Souve.

He is survived by his wife, Lauri Souve of Red Level; one son and daughter, Rick and Kathy Souve of Prattville; a daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Marty Thompson of Red Level; four grandchildren, Greg Souve, Jacob Branning, Dalton Thompson, and Mya Thompson; one brother, Walter Mitchell; and one sister, Rebecca Knight, both of Maine.
