Mr. Benny Carlton Dunn, 72, of Andalusia, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 16, 11 a.m., at Southside Baptist Church with Brother Josh Wilson and Brother Tommy Ray officiating and Foreman Funeral Home directing. Interment will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, May 15, 4:30 p.m., at Foreman Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Charlee Dunn; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jacob and Summer Dunn of Andalusia and Jeffery and Dana Dunn of Nashville; four grandchildren, Cassidy, Brayden, Reese, and Betty Marie Dunn; a great-grandson, David Lee Dunn, and his brother, Patrick Dunn.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Betty Dunn, and a brother, Sgt. Gerald Dunn.

Pallbearers will be Pat Beck, Mike Park, Gary Pitts, Tim Glisson, Lucky Cope, Darrell Thomas, Jacob Dunn, and Jeffery Dunn.

Honorary pallbearers will be the AHS Class of 1971 and all the ball players he coached. Starting at age 17, Benny coached in the city league for 42 years. During his coaching career he impacted many lives in a positive way. Benny also loved to hunt, particularly deer and turkey.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church Building Fund.
