Harry Neil Mitchell, 82, a resident of Fort Deposit, Alabama passed away on April 22, 2024 surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 27, beginning at 10 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Herbert Brown officiating and Johnson Funeral Home directing. A burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Red Level. The family received friends for visitation on Friday, April 26, at Johnson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mr. Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Ruth Mitchell; parents, William and Fannie Lou Mitchell; and two brothers, Billy Joe Mitchell and Jimmy Mitchell.

Mr. Harry is survived by his wife, Dale Mitchell; children, Dody Nettles (J.D.), Harry Neil Mitchell Jr. and Amy Russell (Paul); grandchildren, Laramie Copeland (Chris), Landon Matthews (Greyson), Tyler Nettles, Leif Nettles, Danielle Hollyfield (Michael), Tobey Mitchell (Daryll), Mitchell Patterson, and Turner Patterson; step-son, Jeffery Gardner (Addie); brother-in-law; Michael Tindal (Amanda); great-grandchildren, Mary Turner Copeland, Harrison Matthews, Aiden Mitchell, Gantt Mitchell, Tyler Hollyfield, Brayden Hollyfield, and Cameron Hollyfield; sister, Memory Barrow; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many, many, many close friends.
