Crossover Ministry set for annual banquet on April 23

Crossover Ministry is putting the final touches on its annual banquet scheduled for Tuesday, April 23, 6:30 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Opp Fellowship Center.
Rev. Gary Miller, pastor of Westview Baptist Church in Opp, will serve as this year’s guest speaker. He has served in several pastorates in Alabama in his 48 years of ministry and has been the pastor at Westview since 2013.
Brother Gary grew up in Bonifay, Florida, where he graduated from Holmes County High School. He attended Chipola Junior College in Marianna, Florida, and then graduated from Huntingdon College in Montgomery. He received his Master of Divinity from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology in Atlanta and completed additional work at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky.
Miller and his wife Jane have three children, Lindsey, Eric, and Rachel, and seven grandchildren.
The banquet will feature special music and an update on the ministry. Tickets are $25 and may be purchased at the Opp Chamber of Commerce, Covington Eye Care, Westview Baptist Church, Ino Baptist Church, Good Baptist Chapel, and White, McClung and Barber CPA in Andalusia.
Sponsorships are available in four categories: Platinum – $1,000; Gold – $500; Silver – $250; Bronze – $100. The deadline to be a banquet sponsor is Thursday, April 18.
The mission of Crossover Ministry is to provide a Christian recovery solution for substance abuse and addiction through the use of education, work, counseling, and the knowledge of Jesus Christ that will help people rebuild their lives and their communities.
Crossover Ministry opened its doors in January 2005 and it is located on Highway 52 East of Opp. The ministry is a six-month residential program offered free of charge to clients and their families.
