Every life is precious, both born and unborn. Individuals, families or church groups are encouraged to come by on their way to or from church to a candle-lighting/prayer vigil on Sunday, Jan. 21, between 2 and 3:30 p.m. in Andalusia at the Courthouse in recognition of the Sanctity of Human Life.

Spend a few moments in personal prayer for the unborn, those experiencing the pain of a past abortion and for our country to one day value every human life again.

Sav-A-Life of Covington County is organizing the candle-lighting/prayer vigil in memory of over 64 million unborn babies lost since the U.S. Supreme Court on Jan. 22, 1973 (Roe vs. Wade). Even though the ruling was overturned in 2020, many states have passed legislation permitting abortion – some until birth. So, many unborn lives are still being lost.

Speakers are available for Sanctity of Human Life services in Sunday School classes, church services, or civic groups.

Sav-A-Life’s Family Hope Center is located in Andalusia at 116 Crescent Street, around the corner from the Covington County Courthouse.
