Jones Veterinary Hospital in Andalusia made Christmas extra merry for animals with a successful showing at its annual Santa Paws on Friday, Dec. 15.

The community came out in full force and brought their pets to have their pictures taken with Santa Claus on the day of the event from 1 to 3 p.m.

“Thanks to the generosity of our clients, we were able to raise over $1,000 and a truck full of supplies to benefit the Andalusia Animal Shelter. A special thank you goes to Boyd Caton, Rob and Alesia Richburg, and Alicia McAdams of Paws and Pastries for donating their time and talents to our event. We were honored to lend a paw to the animal shelter and help local animals in need,” Jones Veterinary Hospital staff said.

The Andalusia Animal Shelter expressed its gratitude to Jones Veterinary Hospital for their contributions and teamwork.

“A huge thank you goes to Jones for hosting their annual Santa Paws. It was an amazing time and very successful outcome. Thank you to everyone who donated their time and talents and to those that donated to us here at the shelter. We appreciate their willingness to help serve all the animals we take in and wish everyone a Merry Christmas,” Shelter Manager Kayla Robbins said.
