Pleasant Home School senior volleyball players Hailey Ward and Meredith Wilson were selected to participate in the 15th Annual East-West Set-N-Spike volleyball match held recently in Huntsville.

The seniors were among other senior players from Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, and Georgia to participate in the event. Ward and Wilson each contributed to the East squad winning the match 3-2.

“These young ladies have been a part of a Pleasant Home volleyball team that has made its mark in volleyball in south Alabama for the past several years. They have made regular trips to the South Super Regional tournament in Montgomery and to the Elite Eight state tournament in Birmingham. We wish the best of luck to these young ladies in their future endeavors,” PHS Head Volleyball Coach Tony Wilson said.

Both Ward and Wilson are anxiously awaiting graduating high school in the spring of 2024 and are planning on continuing their education and possible volleyball careers at LBW Community College.
