Robert James King of Red Level passed away on Dec. 2, 2023.

Robert leaves behind a loving wife of 53 years, Jean King; son, James R. King (Kim) of Boise, Idaho; daughters, Michelle McDonald (Stephen) of Bay Minette and Jennifer Carpenter (Billy) of Lakeland, Florida; son, Kevin M. King (Angela) of Red Level; brothers, Chris King (Ann) of Mobile, and Clint King (Karen) of Fairhope; sisters, Sharlene Prior of Mobile, Becky Royals (Wayne) of Red Level;  eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James O. King and Tenna Tillman McInvale.

Robert served in the U.S. Marine Corps (Semper Fi) from 1968 to 1972 and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. He was an active member of the VFW Post #4388. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and hunting. He loved Alabama football. He will be missed by his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 16, 10 a.m., at VFW Post #4388 located at 6841 Oglesby Road in Red Level.
