Andalusia vs. Bibb County
Andalusia (5-0) will face off against Bibb County (5-0) in a homecoming 4A top-10 matchup featuring two undefeated teams.
This will be the sixth meeting between the two teams dating back to 2000 with the Bulldogs holding a 3-2 lead over the Choctaws.
Andalusia hosted Montgomery Academy last week and earned a 63-19 win. Bibb County doubled up Sipsey Valley on the road, 42-21.
The Bulldogs had a 55-18 win over the Choctaws last season.
Florala at Samson
Florala (3-1) will look to keep its offense rolling and travel to Samson (0-4) this week.
The two teams match up for the 65th time in history as the Wildcats lead the all-time series 36-26-2.
Florala comes into the contest off a homecoming region win against Pleasant Home, 60-6. Samson was shut out on the road last week at Cottonwood, 47-0.
The Wildcats hosted the Tigers in 2022 and picked up a 28-14 win.
Opp vs. Rehobeth
Opp (2-3) will aim to break even on the season with a homecoming game against Rehobeth (1-3).
This year’s contest will be the eighth meeting between the two teams since they first played on the gridiron in 1978. The Bobcats lead the series over the Rebels 5-2. It was a region matchup from 2002 until 2005.
Opp picked up a key region win last week at home against Pike County, 22-13. Rehobeth ran up against a tough non-region foe and fell to Enterprise, 52-6.
The Bobcats traveled to the Rebels last year and came home with a 23-13 win.
Pleasant Home vs. Zion Chapel
Pleasant Home (1-3) will strive to get back on track this week and snap a pair of losing streaks in a home matchup with Zion Chapel (2-3).
The teams will battle each other for the 18th time since 2000. The Rebels have won six straight in the series and taken a 12-5 lead over the Eagles.
Pleasant Home fell on the road to county foe Florala last time out, 60-6. Zion Chapel suffered a home shutout at the hands of Ariton, 35-0.
The Eagles came up just short on the road at the Rebels in 2022, 28-19.
Red Level vs. Bullock County
Red Level (1-3) will return home and step up three classifications to take on 4A Bullock County (2-3).
The two teams first met each other last year with the Hornets leading the series 1-0 over the Tigers.
Red Level held a one-point lead late in the first half at McKenzie last week in a region game but ultimately fell, 40-19. Bullock County took to the road and was victorious at Dale County, 31-14.
The Hornets hosted last year’s game and edged the Tigers, 7-0, in a defensive battle from both teams.
Straughn at Ariton
Straughn (4-0) will hope to stay unbeaten on the year and travel for the fourth time in five weeks to Ariton (2-3).
The two teams met last year after a 29-year hiatus and play one another for the 10th time since the 1986 season. The Purple Cats have a 6-3 lead against the Tigers.
Straughn comes into the non-region bout off a hard-fought region win at Ashford last week, 17-13. Ariton pitched a 35-0 home shutout over Zion Chapel.
