Opp continued its best start in program history and began area play with a 3-0 sweep over New Brockton in a varsity volleyball home match Tuesday, Sept. 5.

The Lady Bobcats moved to 10-0 overall and 1-0 in 3A Area 3 with a 25-22, 25-12, 25-15 win. The Lady Gamecocks fell to 3-7 on the season and 0-1 against area teams.

“We have a problem at the end letting up and letting them come back, but they did pretty good overall. 10-0 has never been done before in Opp, and it means a lot to us. This is the greatest start Opp volleyball has ever had, so I’m super proud of them. These girls work hard and are not only good athletes and volleyball players, but they communicate as a team. Volleyball is such a team sport, and these girls work really well together,” said OHS Head Coach Caiden Harrell.
