The Covington County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics unit, along with assistance from other law enforcement agencies, executed a search warrant at a residence located on Deer Run Road Thursday morning.
Zachary Blake Walden, 42, and Lisa Ann Jordan, 61, were both taken into custody following the search warrant.
Assisting the CCSO Narcotics unit were the Covington County Incident Response Team, Opp Police Department, and Gantt Police Department. The search resulted in the recovery of over 1 pound of marijuana, approximately 5 ounces of methamphetamine, over 100 alprazolam pills, two firearms, and drug paraphernalia.
Walden was charged with drug trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, first-degree possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of certain persons forbidden to possess firearms.
Jordan was charged with drug trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, first-degree possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
“We would like to thank Gantt Police Chief Kenneth Harris, the Opp Police Department, and the members of the Incident Response Team for assisting in this investigation. More arrests are forthcoming, as this is an ongoing investigation,” Covington County Sheriff Blake Turman said.
