Mr. James “Jack” Ray Thomasson, of Samson, passed away peacefully Monday, December 6, 2021, at his residence, surrounded by his loved ones. He was 76.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 9, 2 p.m., at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Butler and Rev. Curtis Manning officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Chapel Cemetery in Samson. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the Keahey Chapel. Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with the services.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Peggy Butler Thomasson of Samson, children, Nikki Thomasson of Samson and Michael Thomasson of Samson, sister, Sharron Thomasson (James) Jackson of Montgomery; grandchildren, Petty Officer 3rd Class Blaine Lyle of Kodiak, Alaska, Makayla Thomasson of Geneva, Alabama, Madelyn Higginbotham of Cleveland, Georgia and numerous special nieces and nephews.
Mr. Thomasson was preceded in death by his parents, Buddy Thomasson and Jewel Purcell Thomasson.
Serving as pallbearers, Robby Harrelson, Charley Utley, Jamie Dubose, Lee Vinson, Joseph Butler, and Joe Butler.
