Opp clinches playoff spot; Red Level wins, Pleasant Home falls

Providence Christian 18
Opp (6-1, 4-0 3A Region 2) gained entry into the playoffs with a 41-18 win at Providence Christian. Gray Jennings finished 13-of-22 for 275 yards with four touchdowns and an interception. Terry Davis ran for 102 yards on nine carries and a score. DaDa Stoudemire paced OHS in receiving with three receptions for 159 yards and a touchdown. Jackson Pierce tallied six receptions for 75 yards and a touchdown.
Nelson Hall led the defense with 13 tackles, and Robbie Gafford added 12. Zack Hill had 11 tackles as Tanner Hall and Cole Jennings each finished with 10.
The Bobcats play Wicksburg (6-1, 3-0) in their final home game of the regular season next week.
Pleasant Home 6
McKenzie 40
Pleasant Home (1-5, 1-3 1A Region 1) had a hard time on the road and fell to McKenzie 40-6. The Eagles are back home next week with a matchup against cross-county rival Florala (2-4, 2-2).
Red Level 22
Georgiana 14
Red Level (2-3, 2-2 1A Region 1) snapped a two-game skid with a 22-14 win in Georgiana. The Tigers broke away from a tie game at halftime and scored two touchdowns in the second half while the defense allowed only one. RLS completes a four-game road swing at Samson (5-2, 3-1) next week.
