Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

RJ (Bill) Leddon Jr., passed away early Tuesday morning, February 16, 2021, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.  Bill was born March 24, 1948, in Elba, Alabama, to RJ Leddon Sr., and Cupidean Grant Leddon.  He joined the U.S. Air Force and served faithfully for 26 years.  He retired as SMSgt.  Bill had a love for life and a love for getting things done.  He was often found out in the fields haying, bush hogging or working with his saw mill.  His legacy, however, was the immeasurable mark he left on his family.  Known to them as Bill, Dad, and Pawpaw, he will forever hold a dear and precious place in each of their hearts.  Bill will be greatly missed by his loved ones who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, RJ Leddon Sr. and Cupidean Grant Leddon; his brothers, Leo Leddon, Jim Leddon, and Chester Leddon; and his cousin, Frank Leddon.  Bill is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 33 years, Gabriele Weis Leddon; daughter, Carla Hayes (and husband, John); grandchildren, Hannah Beth Liu (and husband, Xiao), Abby Hayes, Samuel Hayes, Rachel Hayes, and Hayley Hayes; sisters, Voncile Spivey (and husband, John Wesley) and Bonnie Webb (and husband, Ben); sisters-in-law, Margaret Leddon, Faye Leddon and Heide Weis (and husband, Ralph).  Bill is also survived by his dog, Missy, and his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bill’s name can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/ .

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private, family-only celebration of life service will be held in Bill’s remembrance, Saturday, February 27, 2021, at 1 pm, in the Gaskin First Baptist Church’s fellowship hall.  Casual attire and masks are required, kindly.
