ROBERT DOYLE KINSAUL

Mr. Robert Doyle Kinsaul, age 87 of the Straughn community died Thursday, July 30, 2020, in a Dothan hospital. Graveside services for Mr. Kinsaul will be held Saturday, August 1, 2020, at 10 a.m., from the Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery. Reverend Diane Everette will officiate. The family will visit with friends at the cemetery.

Mr. Kinsaul was born in Hartford, Ala. and spent his early life there, attending and graduating from the Hartford city schools. He then attended Troy State University and was a quarterback on the football team. When the Korean Conflict broke out he left Troy and enlisted in the Army. After his service, he returned to Troy to finish his degree. It was there that he met the love of his life, Jackie Sue Staggers. They eventually married and both came to Straughn School where they taught together for 30 years. Mr. Kinsaul taught an extra 5 years so that they could retire together in 1994. During his time at Straughn, he taught classes, coached baseball and basketball and drove the school bus. Coach Kinsaul was particularly proud that in 1973 he took the men’s basketball team to state. Because of Mr. and Mrs. Kinsaul’s dedication to their years at Straughn, a photo of the both of them hangs in the gym today. After his retirement, he enjoyed watching all sports on TV and at Straughn. He particularly loved watching his grandchildren play sports and seldom missed any of their games. In 2007, he was inducted into the Wiregrass Sports Hall of Fame. Mr. Kinsaul was a longtime member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Mrs. Jackie S. Kinsaul; four sons and daughters in law, Robert Loyce and Debbie Kinsaul of Elba, Benjamin Doyle and Jan Kinsaul, Brett Sean and Sharon Kinsaul and Scott Duane and Lori Kinsaul, all of Andalusia; 10 grandchildren, Robby Kinsaul, Ryan Kinsaul, Kayla Gorum, Hunter Kinsaul, Rollin Kinsaul, Seth Kinsaul, Neil Kinsaul, Katelyn Kinsaul, Sydney Kinsaul, and Jacob Kinsaul; 7 great-grandchildren, Emory Kinsaul, Ensley Kinsaul, Harper Kate Gorum, Ridge Kinsaul, Stella Gorum, Rayne Kinsaul, and Autney Claire Kinsaul

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

JUDY MARIE OWENS KNOX

Mrs. Judy Marie Owens Knox, age 74 of Andalusia, died Wednesday, July 29th, 2020 in Pensacola. Funeral services for Mrs. Knox will be held Saturday, August 1st, 2020 at 2 p.m., at Cedar Grove Church of Christ. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Knox of Andalusia; daughters and son-in-law, Donna Knox Frost (Randy) of Andalusia, Julie Knox Kyzar of Andalusia; grandchildren, Amber Stephens, Madyson Hendley, Johanna Hendley, John Hendley, Scarlett Shiver (Justin); great-grandchildren, Ella and Emily Shiver; sister, Ramona Owens; and many cousins and extended family.

Pallbearers will be Randy Frost, John Hendley, Justin Shiver, Chris Owens, and Mike Owens.

FAYE HALLFORD DANIEL

Mrs. Faye Hallford Daniel, age 86 of Pensacola, Florida died Tuesday, July 28th, 2020 in Pensacola. Graveside services for Mrs. Daniel will be held Saturday, August 1st, 2020 at 11 a.m., at Foreman Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Brewster officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, John and Amy Daniel of Ashford, AL; Joel and Melissa Daniel of Austin, AL; James and Jackie Ellis of Pensacola, FL; Jayson Gantt of Scottsdale, AZ; grandchildren, Jeff (Kelley) Daniel of Auburn, AL, Jessica McCollah (Kenji) of Fujioka, Japan, Hannah Daniel of Boston, MA, Grace Daniel of Phoenix, AZ, Sophia Daniel of Los Angeles, CA, Chandra Daniel or Houston, TX, Emma Daniel of Troy, AL; and sister, Fairra Ann Oswalt of Anniston, AL.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Pollard Daniel Sr., her parents, Ellis Hallford and Ocie Hallford Bell, her sons, Jeffery Tolliver Daniel and Jerry Lloyd Daniel.
