BEVERLY JEAN SANFORD BRAWNER

Mrs. Beverly Jean Sanford Brawner, age 55 of Andalusia, died Thursday, July 23, 2020 in a local hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Brawner will be held on Sunday, July 26th, 2020 at 2 PM from the Foreman Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Tim Morgan and Reverend Cliff Morris will officiate. Interment will be in the New Home Baptist Church Cemetery near McKenzie.

Mrs. Brawner is survived by her husband, David Brawner of Andalusia; two sons and daughters-in-law, Corey and Lauren Brawner of Andalusia, and Nathan and Danielle Brawner of Opp; two grandchildren, Ansley and Presley Belle Brawner; her mother, Mrs. Frances Sanford of McKenzie; one sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Chris Merritt of Bay Minette and one brother and sister in law, Randy and Sidonia Sanford of Daphne, Al; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Brawner was born in Mobile and attended elementary school there. Her family moved to McKenzie she was in the seventh grand and she graduated from McKenzie High School. Jean, as she was called then attended college at the University of Mobile and got her BSN in nursing. She then worked briefly at Andalusia Hospital and Evergreen Hospital. She then spent 21 years with the Conecuh County Health Department as a home health nurse. For the past 8 years Jean worked for Kindred at Home Health Care as a case manager. She was a member of Andalusia Bible Church and also New Home Baptist Church. In her spare time she loved to cook, camp, fish and most importantly spending time with her granddaughters.

Pallbearers will be John Reid, Chris Merritt, Wilbur Baxley, Brad Cook, Warren Maddox, and Dominic Sasser. Honorary pallbearers will be Mac Northrop, Bobby Duncan and Scott Cooper.

The body will lie in state at Foreman Funeral Home from 1PM Sunday until the time of the service.
