Several cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Covington County, bringing the total to 88 with 20 new cases in the last 14 days.

According to the Alabama Department of Public Health, there have been 1,332 total tested for COVID-19 in Covington County and 322 tested within the last 14 days.

In the state, there are 20,590 confirmed cases, with 259,232 total tested and in the last 14 days, there have been 5,467 new cases.

11,395 cases statewide have recovered from the virus.

Reported deaths in the state are up to 714.

Total hospitalizations statewide since March 13, are 2,054.

Of the positive cases in the state, 623 are in the intensive care unit, 371 are on a ventilator, 2,418 are healthcare workers, 1,109 are long-term care employees and 1,817 are long-term care residents.

In the surrounding counties, Butler County has 455 confirmed cases with 89 new cases in the past 14 days and 24 deaths, Crenshaw County has 88 confirmed cases with 28 new cases in the past 14 days and 3 deaths, Conecuh County has 52 confirmed cases with 24 new cases in the past 14 days and one death, Coffee County has 248 confirmed cases with 41 new cases in the past 14 days and one death, and Geneva County has 46 confirmed cases with nine cases in the past 14 days.
