The Oaks Campground will be hosting a benefit this Saturday for 10-year-old Eddie Desylvia, who has an inoperable brain tumor.
The Oaks has teamed up with the Desylvia family and Today’s Yesterday Band to raffle off a 1995 Harley Bad Boy and a 3-night cabin stay at the campground with all proceeds going to Desylvia.
Raffle tickets for the Harley Bad Boy are $20 each; raffle tickets for the 3-night cabin stay at The Oaks are $5 each. Both raffle tickets can be purchased before or at the time of the event at The Oaks Campground office.
“We are very blessed and thankful to be in the situation to help this local boy while also bringing our community together for a good time to enjoy the outdoors and each other’s company,” Owner Jason Smith said.
The benefit will be Sat., May 30, starting at noon and ending at 8 p.m.
There will be fun for the whole family with our playground, zip line, fishing pond, charcoal grills, and fire pits available.
Live entertainment includes: Today’s Yesterday Band, Levee Road, East Three Notch Band, and Skyler Henley. Chairs and coolers are permitted.
Admission to this event is $5 per person. The $5 admission fee includes an armband and one (1) BBQ food plate with sides.
All proceeds will go to Desylvia.
“It’s always a good time at The Oaks enjoying the outdoors,” Manager Catherine Wofford said. “But any time we can make an event special and help our neighbor, we’re more than happy to.”
RV pads, RVs for rent, cabins, glamping tents, and primitive camping spots are available to reserve for this event.
